Philosophy

I am a conservative practitioner. I err on the side of caution and safety and always accommodate my patients requests regarding their view of the therapeutic principles of Western Medicine.

I believe certain therapies and medicines are necessary evils and at times must be utilized. I feel patients wishes are paramount and would never insist on a pill or procedure without my patient’s comprehensive understanding of all risks and benefits and their full consent.

Life Style changes are frequently the most successful methods in improving a patient’s quality of life and I always rely on Life Style change as first principle.

I feel that no effort should be spared in an attempt to treat outside of the hospital or frequently in the patient’s home. Home offers familiar comforts and family involvement facilitates recovery.

I believe Quality of Life is frequently more important then Quantity of Life and that with advancing age Happiness and Comfort are of primary importance.

I listen to my patient then talk. I try to take my time.
